Through these images, I aim to reinterpret my past, viewing it from a present perspective, capturing the atmosphere and emotions typical of adolescence – a time when one begins to realize that illusions can be deceiving.
My childhood and school years unfolded in a small Siberian settlement, where all events and impressions fit within two streets and school walls. There was also a wooden Officers’ Club with a small library, which unfortunately burned down.
Many years have passed since then, and I managed to leave that place. Initially, the changes related to open borders and cultural transformations seemed irreversible. However, recent events compel me to recall and compare the sense of hopelessness and limitations of the past, which, it seems, are resurfacing under the influence of political processes in recent years.
